HAPPY JANUARY!! TUESDAY 20 JANUARY 2026 The Medlars The Medlars are a folk trio from North East Essex, performing classic English folk songs and tunes originated and rooted in the tradition. With a reputation for thoughtful arrangements and engaging performances, The Medlars have built up a strong following, taking their music to festivals and folk clubs across East Anglia and beyond. The Medlars are: Alie Barnes (vocals), Emma Hardy (fiddle & vocals) and Tom Hardy (guitar & vocals). TUESDAY 27 JANUARY 2026 The Goblin Band The Goblin Band was formed organically from intimate sessions of the same name ran out of the HobGoblin Music, a folk music instrument shop in Central London, and organised by a group of queer folk obsessive friends and shop employees. These sessions have given rise to a six-piece band which, though firmly rooted in the traditional music of the British Isles, draws widely on medieval and early music, as well as the folk musical traditions from abroad. Expect to hear all manner of strings, squeezeboxes, hurdy gurdy, flutes, horns, bells and whistles as the Goblins interpret folk song and traditional music in a manner which is both riotously joyful and deeply sincere. PAM & ALAN COLLS
| Founders of the Dartford Folk Club, Pam and Alan Colls ran the Club together for over 40 years, booking an amazing variety of artists within the Folk genre. Sadly both Pam and Alan have passed away but, at our 50th Birthday celebrations in October 2023, the team, guests and audience raised a glass to remember their friendship, achievements and amazing contributions to the music world. The Dartford Folk Club is now managed by a small team of original members in memory of and as a legacy to Pam & Alan's love for music.
