Dartford music fans are in for a treat when the town's folk music club sees the inaugral performance from a classic combination.
The show on Tuesday 4th December 2001, sees Peter Knight joining forces with Tom Leary. Peter is a violin virtuoso and until recently fronted legendary chart-topping folk band STEELEYE SPAN. Tom has played with numerous top-name bands and is one of the UK's foremost session fiddle players.
Although both musicians have appeared on the same stage before (most recently as contributors to the twelve-piece Feast of Fiddles extravaganza) the Dartford gig marks their debut as a duo. They will play a varied mix of English traditional material, European folk melodies, contemporary compositions and even a few classical pieces.
"Dartford's Folk Club is nationally-renowned," said Tom. "It's hard to think of a better venue for Peter and me to launch this exciting new partnership."
